Enrichment PROGRAMS
ROBOTICS
The Y.E.P. robotics program helps students develop skills for teamwork, effective communication and problem solving challenges. The students work in small groups and are tasked with constructing and coding a variety of small robots.
Critical
Thinking
The Y.E.P. chess program introduces new and experienced students to our method of playing chess. Chess is a game of strategy that requires forethought, patience, presence, and critical thinking. Our chess program aids students in developing those skills while allowing them to have fun with this classic game.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
The Y.E.P. financial literacy program teaches students the fundamentals of finances. Students learn the basic of how to value and manage money. We give the students games and real world scenarios that cause them to become more aware of the financial institutions around them.
DEBATE
The Y.E.P. debate program teaches students the skills needed to become great communicators. In a world where the majority of communication occurs through online platforms, the capacity for people to participate in civil discord is dwindling. This debate program reignite the emphasis on building confidence, creating sound arguments and thinking critically on your feet.
S.W.A.P (Shedding With A Purpose) is an anti-bullying program that uses drumming to help students reconnect with their creative self expression. S.W.A.P promotes positive youth interaction and challenges students to work together to achieve harmony.
