ScHOLARLSHIP ESSAY PROMPT

Technology and culture are bringing people from different parts of the world closer together. Social media, travel, and international trade are making it easier than ever for people to connect and share ideas. How do you think the idea of being a ‘global citizen’—someone who cares about and takes responsibility for the whole world, not just their own country—might change as we become more connected? Think about how technology helps us communicate, how cultures are mixing, and the challenges and benefits of living in a more connected world as you answer.

Note: Student essays will be critiqued on subject matter, organization, grammar, and mechanics. Please have entries reviewed by a teacher, parent, mentor, etc. prior to submission. Any submissions suspected of plagiarism or artificial intelligence will be disqualified.
